The Law Easy is a free learning website for Indian law students. Our aim is simple: to explain the law clearly and accurately, so that you understand it rather than only memorise it.
Who it is for
LL.B. students on three-year and five-year courses, students preparing for judicial services and law entrance examinations, and anyone who wants a clear introduction to a part of Indian law.
How we teach
- Simple English, full detail. Explanations a first-year student can follow, without leaving out the legal points that matter in an examination.
- Watch, read, practise. Lectures, notes, case explanations and practice questions on the same topic are linked to one another.
- Current law. Criminal law is taught under the B.N.S., B.N.S.S. and B.S.A., in force from 1 July 2024. Older IPC, CrPC and Evidence Act provisions are mentioned where a judgment or a comparison needs them.
Our approach to accuracy
Law students rely on what they read, so we work hard to get it right.
- In the “Case at a glance” panel, a law-report citation is shown only after it has been checked; citations inside older notes are being re-checked and removed where they cannot be verified.
- AI tools help us edit and organise material and draft practice questions. Their output goes through checks before it is published, and legal points that cannot be confirmed are flagged for review instead of being guessed.
- For the authoritative text of an Act, we point you to the official source, India Code.
Mistakes can still happen, and the law keeps changing. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will look into it.
Free to learn
All notes, lectures, case explanations, MCQs and mock tests are free. There are no paid plans and no payments. A free account is optional: it lets you save bookmarks, notes and progress, and keep your mock test results.
