From the video description

Under Section 43 of the Electricity Act, 2003, an electricity distribution licensee cannot deny a connection merely because the applicant is a tenant rather than an owner. Lawful occupiers are entitled to supply upon meeting required conditions within strict statutory timelines. However, as affirmed in the K.C. Ninan case, the duty to supply remains subject to compliance with lawful conditions. In this video you will learn: • Understand the statutory duty of distribution licensees towards occupiers under Section 43. • Know the prescribed connection timelines under the Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules. • Learn the limit on the duty to supply established in K.C. Ninan v. KSEB. Important case laws: • K.C. Ninan v. Kerala State Electricity Board Statutory provisions discussed: • Section 43, Electricity Act, 2003 Useful for: LL.B. (3-year and 5-year integrated), UGC NET Law and University semester exams. Free notes, quizzes & more: https://www.thelaweasy.com #Shorts #EnergyLaw #ElectricityAct #LawEasy #LLB
