About this lecture

Study restitution of conjugal rights (RCR) under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Learn when a spouse may seek a decree, what counts as a reasonable excuse for living apart, and how courts address a decree that is ignored. This Law Easy lecture explains the requirements of Section 9, the burden of proving a reasonable excuse, the safeguards in Sections 23 and 23A, and reconciliation.
