From the video description

Can a divorced Muslim woman claim maintenance after iddat? In Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum, (1985) 2 SCC 556, the Supreme Court applied Section 125 CrPC to a divorced Muslim woman unable to maintain herself. Religion alone did not exclude her from this remedy. This Short explains the 1985 judgment. For current study, read it with later legislation and judgments; the corresponding maintenance provision is Section 144 B.N.S.S.
